Jet lag disorder: shift the body clock with a destination-specific plan

Crossing time zones creates a temporary mismatch between the internal clock and local time. Direction, number of zones, departure phase, trip length, work demands and health determine whether pre-shifting or rapid destination adjustment makes sense.
